The only bit of negative criticism I have about this Reverse Phone lookup website is the lack of information on the homepage. You seem to be sent to a page consisting of basically a search button. Perhaps some may prefer this but never the less once the search is performed, it gives the information you need – so you can’t complain.
This service can be used for finding out a large amount of information about phone numbers that will aid you in finding out pranksters who have been prank calling your number or to look up someone’s exact address. In addition, you can also find out information about stranger numbers that have come up in your list. With a lifetime membership available for a mere $39.95, the site is intended for everyone, Reverse Phone Detective uses can vary upon ones requirements.

The Blackberry Storm is another slick looking 3G offering from the people at RIM and another competitor for the Apple iPhone 3G. The Blackberry Storm is the first Blackberry with a full touchscreen, making it one of the easiest to use as well.
The touchscreen on the storm is one of it’s greatest features, it is a 3.25 inch HVGA+ 480×360 multi-touch UI screen that many consider the best on the market today. Unlike other touchscreens, the Storm has a “Click Through” screen. This means you must push down on the screen until you feel a click. It might seem odd at first, but in time, you’ll grow to love this new type of screen. To go along with this new screen is a browser that is an improvement from the browser used by the Blackberry Bold.
Being a 3G device, the Blackberry Storm is perfect for surfing the internet, video conference calls, data transfers, emailing, instant messaging and anything else you can think up.
The Storm comes with a 3.2 megapixel digital camera with variable zoom, autofocus and video capabilities. Great for taking pictures on the go or making video clips and other imaging tasks. The built in media player supports most video and music file types, playing your favorite music or video files is a breeze. The Storm has 1Gb of onboard memory as well as a microSD card slot, for as much as 16Gb of extra storage space. There is also Bluetooth Stereo onboard for your headsets, etc. Or a 3.5mm stereo headset port.
Of course, like every 3G phone/device on the market, the Blackberry Storm is not perfect. It might have most of the same features as the iPhone, but it is missing flash support as well as Wi-Fi capability, two things that many people look for in a 3G device.
If you can look past what the Storm lacks, you’ll find a great little device that can do just about anything you could expect from a 3G phone or mobile device. But remember that with the new “Click Through” interface, the Blackberry Storm will surely take some time to get used to using. If you don’t think the Storm is your cup of tea, perhaps the Blackberry Bold is more suited to your needs.

It is a little big and bulky, and it can be difficult to change your battery if you go through a couple per day like me. Overall it does its job well though; when dropped it holds together nicely and protects the phone. Also when I got soaked in a rainstorm it kept the phone itself dry.

I agree with some of the other reviews that Packet8 (now 8×8) requires some learning and a bit of additional effort. For example, you need a very good router that includes “quality of service” (QoS) and other features that make “voice over Internet protocol” (VoIP) function well. We use the D-Link DGL-4100 gaming router with gigabit Ethernet along with a D-Link 16-port switch for our house, which is admittedly pretty advanced. However, I think that you can achieve the same good results with a comparable router that includes wireless (which we achieve with Apple Airport Extreme units). You also need good bandwidth, which costs more through your Internet service provider. With these things in place, though, Packet8 delivers. It’s easy to set up (easier for me because we’ve had it at my office for about a year with excellent results). The features are fantastic and all controlled via Packet8’s online portal. Being able to block calls (incoming or outgoing) is worth the minor effort above. Packet8 also includes a “find me, follow me” feature that lets you forward calls to a cell or other phone and then screen whether you want to take them; if not, the call returns to voice mail of your Packet8 phone. Lastly, you can even attach your “old,” more traditional telephone system to this Uniden unit and use it as an additional wireless set if desired. In summary, Packet and Uniden deliver very good results with a little effort that will make the rest of your Internet experience better as well.

Let’s start with the phone. On looks alone this one is a winner. A sleek black unit with a huge screen and top and bottom speakers finish off the beautiful unit.
